  2.  The three Joint Education Initiative discs and an                               
  3.  accompanying activity book are an introduction to many                          
  4.  datasets which are available through NOAA, NASA, and the                        
  5.  USGS.  The intent of these discs and activity book is to                        
  6.  provide teachers and students with access to "raw" and                          
  7.  current scientific data.  Included in these discs are five                      
  8.  data directories, image display programs and a full text                        
  9.  retrieval program.  Some of the image files are of:                             
  10.  Yellowstone, Antarctica, Voyager encounters, and high                           
  11.  resolution bathymetery of Monterey Canyon.  Additional                          
  12.  datasets (images/programs/data) are:  ozone and seismic                         
  13.  data, comet spectra and the Geophysics of North America                         
  14.  program.  Teachers Activity Book is published as USGS                           
  15.  Open-File Report 91-14.
